  3. Students may adjust their course schedules from the first day registration access is granted through the end of the priority registration period.

  4. All holds must be cleared before registration is permitted.

Waitlisting

All courses can be waitlisted with the exception of internships, practica, independent studies, and courses designed for learning communities.  When a course reaches its maximum enrollment and additional students attempt to register for it, the waitlist option becomes available.  Students are not automatically added to the waitlist; they must select the waitlist option on the registration system when they attempt to register for a closed course.  The waitlist is built on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students will not be given the option to waitlist if they have not met the course prerequisites.  Students may remove themselves from waitlists at any time during the registration period.  The waitlist program will run approximately four times daily.  The process automatically registers the first student on the list into the course when a space opens if no registration errors exist (i.e., time conflicts, duplicate course registration, maximum credit limit exceeded, etc.)  This process will also create and forward an email to the student's Plattsburgh Webmail account notifying the student that his/her registration for the course has been completed successfully.  All students are encouraged to select alternate courses if they have not moved from the waitlist by the end of the course adjustment period.  All waitlists are purged at the end of the course adjustment period.
