Where Do SUNY Plattsburgh Students Come From?

About 90 percent of all Plattsburgh State students are New York State residents. More than 400 students come from 49 different countries and 24 states. Approximately 1000 new freshmen enroll each fall semester who study a variety of academic programs.

Okay, it is, after all, college. You will spend 12% of your week in the classroom, and another 25% for homework, studying and research.

But what about the rest of the time? That's up to you.

We have made it very easy for you to visit our campus.

You can take a walking tour, speak with an admissions advisor and even speak with faculty members or students from the major in which you are interested.

And although there is no substitute for actually visiting a campus - seeing how it really feels - you are invited to take a virtual tour of our campus.

To apply to Plattsburgh, you'll need to submit the State University of New York's undergraduate application for admission on or before December 1 for optimal consideration.

Your credentials should include a solid college preparatory high school program and an overall average of a B or better.
