Information for Accepted Students
Congratulations on your acceptance to SUNY Plattsburgh! Use the information below in finalizing your plans to enroll on our campus.
You've Been Accepted, Now What?
The checklist below will facilitate your transition to SUNY Plattsburgh.
Step 1: Pay Your Deposit
After you are accepted, you have until May 1 (December 1 for Spring) or thirty days after your acceptance (whichever is later) to pay your $150 deposit. To do this online, follow the instructions below.
1. Log in to Banner Web (you will have to find your Plattsburgh NetID)
2. Once you log in, click on Student Menu
3. Next, click on Admissions Menu
4. Finally, click on Process Admissions Deposit Payment
Step 2: Financial Aid
To be eligible for the most aid, the Financial Aid Office recommends submitting your FAFSA to the Federal Government by the end of January (November 1 for Spring). Award packages will be mailed after mid-March (after November 15 for Spring). Need help? View guided instructions.
Step 3: Housing
Residence halls will open for new students on Saturday, August 23, 2008 (Saturday, January 26, 2008 for Spring).
Housing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you are interested in living on campus, you should pay your deposit and submit the online housing application as soon as possible.
Upper-level transfer students and local students can petition to live off-campus. These students are required to pay the $150 deposit and submit the housing exemption request. E-mail the Office of Housing and Residence life at housing@plattsburgh.edu if any questions arise.
Step 4: Health History
You will be sent a Health History form after paying your deposit. This form must be signed by both you and your Doctor and returned by July 15.
Spring applicants will receive the Health History form with their acceptance packets. This form must be signed by both you and your Doctor and returned by December 15.
Contact Student Health Services at (518) 564-2187 for more information.
Step 5: Student Orientation Program (Fall enrollees only)
Although not a requirement, our Student Orientation is highly recommended. It gives students the chance to meet new friends, learn their way around campus, meet with an academic advisor and assemble the fall schedule.
Step 6: Tuition Bill
Student Accounts will mail payment instructions in mid-July to students who attended Summer Orientation and registered for classes. Payment is due in early August.
For Spring enrollees, Student Accounts will mail payment instructions in late November. Payment is due in mid-December.
Good luck. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
