“There are no foolish questions and no man becomes a fool until he has stopped asking questions.” — Charles Steinmetz
The purpose of the Office of Teacher Certification and Graduate Advising for EHHS is to assist students with the application process, to advise potential M.S.T. applicants on conditions of acceptance prior to matriculation, to maintain active graduate records, to process checklists for graduation, and to disseminate information on the overall graduate process for the Teacher Education Unit.
This office recommends SUNY Plattsburgh graduates to the New York State Education Department for teacher certification after the completion of a Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) approved undergraduate or graduate teacher preparation program. This office verifies program completion for graduates applying for out-of-state certification and serves as a resource for a variety of topics related to teacher certification.
Additional information about teacher certification is available at http://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/education/certification.php.
